When I first walked into the venue of the Sunshine Coast Brick Event, weeks before the show was to begin, I was in AWE of the size of the space. The lighting was like broad daylight.
I arrived on friday night for setup and I’ve never seen our Lego look so impressive!
We left late that night, the hall full of impressive displays. Some have been developing over the past shows to become more detailed and others were displayed for the very first time.
The morning of March 1st 2014 we somewhat surprised as the line up of visitors started to snake around the corner waiting and we had to open the doors early. The Sunshine Coast locals were wonderfully polite and appreciative, some thanking exhibitors for coming along.
We had visits from the Sunshine Coast Daily , Sunny Coast Kids, who made a video and the local Channel 7 News. The local Lifesavers group and Kawana Scouts did a great job catering food and drinks for the event.
We experienced the largest crowds we have ever had at a show, with 8000 people through the doors by closing time on Sunday night. The exhibitors and organisers did an epic job at making this all possible.
