Kawana Scouts (QLD, Sunshine Coast, Australia) are having a family fun day to raise funds for their scouts to go to Australian Jamboree 2016 in Sydney next year. Please share this around if you are local. The Queensland LEGO User Group is volunteering their time and expertise to make this fundraiser possible.
As the attending QLUG admin I would like to thank Brick Events for organising a great regional show. The QLUG exhibitors all had a great experience.
A new addition to this show was the added bonus of LEGO Event Support for the first time, which meant that exhibitors received a thank you set. We had some fun activities at an AFOL night for the exhibitors and volunteers on Saturday night with lots of LEGO to go around. It was a lovely bonus and I would like to extend a HUGE thanks to The LEGO Group!
Last but not least, thanks to all our QLUG exhibitors that have done such a fabulous job of representing our group, building wonderful displays and talking to the public. This was my second regional show and it is an awesome team bonding experience to travel and stay together for an out of town show.
I trust that everyone had a great time and ask that anyone who has photos of the event, to please add them to our flickr group too. https://www.flickr.com/groups/qlug/pool/
Lego lovers from across the north have united to compare their favourite creations.
It is the first time fans of the colourful brick blocks have come together in Townsville.

We took the opportunity to have a combined meet with our touring exhibitors from Queensland LEGO User Group and some of the members of the newly formed Townsville LEGO User Group while we were in Townsville. Thanks to the awesome support of The LEGO Group, we had some LEGO Event support to have fun with.
Throughout this time random names were drawn and every AFOL attending got a random gift of Lego ranging from a set to random bags of LEGO. The night ended with everyone picking pieces from the tower build LEGO piles to be used in future displays.
Thanks LEGO for our fun night!
